Today's teens more materialistic, less likely to work hard, study says
Thu May 2, 2013
I blame Focus on the Family. The message is "Focus on MY family, and screw everyone else's family since THEY are the problem." Less judgment of others and more concern about helping others walk their walk would do us all wonders.
Tiny superheroes fight big illnesses in little capes
Wed Apr 17, 2013
This story absolutely made my day (and brought a tear to my eye)! Whenever my spouse or I need a giggle, one of us will quote E from The Incredibles, "No capes!" In this instance, E was definitely wrong. What a kind-hearted thing to do for others.

So true, Debbie and Jay. The minute my brother knew that my parents had a reverse mortgage, he was trying to get at it. Fortunately, my sister and I stood in the way. Blizzard alert: Northeast snowstorm could be among the worst of all time
Thu Feb 7, 2013
Wasn't two stoms converging also the recipe for Superstorm Sandy? I feel so bad for those people who aren't yet back on their feet and looking this mess in the face. Sending warm, sunny thoughts your way.
Rossen Reports: Brides say company ruined their wedding day
Tue Feb 5, 2013
The bankruptcy judge does not have to grant these scamming scum any protection under the bankruptcy laws. Get together and get an attorney who will protest the bankruptcy (or at least get you first in line for proceeds after everything is sold off) and file criminal charges. Do not delay. And best o …
